- The club shall be known as “Julian Porter Cycling Club”.
- The purposes of the club
Is to promote and enjoy safe sociable cycling around Hampshire and Dorset and within the New Forest and community participation in the same area. We are here to promote cyclists in to a friendly environment. Racing when permitted at organised events.
- Club Affiliations
The Club is affiliated to British Cycling (BC) Approved
The Club is affiliated to Cycling Time Trials (CTT)
- Management of the Club
The club is managed by Julian Porter and Sue Porter
The management shall have the power to:
- Raise funds by subscriptions, appeals and grant applications
- allocate funds as necessary
- Make grants to cycling causes
- Provide sporting and related social facilities and sporting equipment
- Affiliate to any bodies regulating or organizing the sport as necessary
- Club Officials
The Club Officials shall comprise:
- President. Julian Porter
- Secretary. Sue Porter
- Any other such Officers temporary our permanent as the activities of the Club may require
- Club Financial Year
The Club’s financial year will run from 1st January to 31st December
Membership of the club shall be open to anyone interested in the sport on application, regardless of sex, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs. However, limitation of membership according to available facilities is allowable on a non-discriminatory basis.
The club officials may refuse membership as it feels fit to do so, or remove it, for any cause it seems fit such as conduct or character likely to bring the club or sport into disrepute or any other matter that conflicts with our club constitution.
Subscriptions shall become due on 1st January of each year. Any member not paying the subscription by the 1st February each year (in the case of new members, within 1 month of joining), shall be deemed to have resigned and have forfeited all rights and privileges of membership..
Any member wishing to resign must inform the management in writing.
10. Club mandate
Cyclists must wear a helmet at all times whilst on club rides.
Rules of the road and traffic rules must be obeyed.
You must give your name and address if involved in an accident and stay for police if anyone is injured, If in doubt call 101 and if your safety is in question call 999.
Bullying will not be tolerated either in person or electronically.
11. Other Matters
Access to our facebook page is a privilege and not part of the club subscriptions
Any matter not provided for in these Rules shall be dealt with by the management whose decision shall be binding on all parties.
