Teriyaki chicken with sticky sauce
My first time cooking Teriyaki chicken but definitely not my last. It was a great cook and we both loved it. Simple and super tasty although high calorie so once in a while treat
Ingredients for 2
- 350gm chicken breast cut into chunks
- 1 tbsp garlic infused olive oil.
- 1 tsp garlic puree
- 1 tsp ginger puree
Teriyaki Sauce
- 4 tbsp cornflour
- 150ml low salt soy sauce
- 100ml water
- 6 tbsp runny honey
- 3 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger purée
Method
Pre heat the BBQ to around 180c
Cook the chicken in the garlic oil until 73c internal then add the garlic and ginger and cook for a further minute. I then popped in the noodles for a couple minutes.
meanwhile I made the sticky sauce. Add the cornflour to a bowl and mix in the soy sauce. Then add the remaining sauce ingredients and pop into a pan. I used a cast iron sauce pan. Cook for a couple of minutes and it will thicken quickly. Pour into the chicken then sprinkle with sesame seed and spring onion to garnish.
Tips.
We served ours with Chinese noodles but any pasta would do.
